The use of phonegap

So Phonegap is a thin layer.

In some cases, we can build the entire web app without the use of PhoneGap.

For example, forecast.io, doubbble and Pie Guy.

So when do we need PhoneGap?

1. When we need to put the app on App Store.
2. When we need to access the device resources that not yet ready in browser API.
